Alumnae Career Panel: Women of GCNYC

WHAT: Join Glasgow Caledonian New York College for an evening of dynamic conversation with GCNCY alumnae Arissa Agnant, Julie Mastrarrigo, Mariza Scotch and Alexandra Williams.

The event will be hosted by Rosa Hakim, who is currently a fellow with GCNYC’S Center for Social Impact & Innovation.

GCNYC alumnae will share how they leveraged their education and experience with GCNYC to further meaningful careers and engage in impactful work. They will also speak about how identifying as a woman in their respective industry has impacted their career experience.

About the Panelist:

Rosa Hakim is Senior Product Analyst with Bloomberg and is a Fellow with GCNYC’s Center for Social Impact & Innovation.

Mariza Scotch, a creator of iconic, best-selling handbags, is a design leader who advises companies on luxury goods, product positioning, and brand voice for tomorrow’s consumer. Mariza earned her Master’s Degree at GCNYC in June 2019.

Arissa Agnant is a Social Impact Marketer and a Holistic Wellness Educator. Arissa earned her Master’s Degree at GCNYC in December 2020.

Alexandra (Ali) Williams serves as the Senior Sample Manager at Basic Resources, a fashion company focusing on women’s, men’s, and children’s underwear and sportswear. She is passionate about equality, sustainability, and human rights and brings that ethos into all she does. Alexandra is a 2020 graduate of GCNYC where she received her Master’s in Sustainable Fashion. She lives in Astoria with her wife Sandra and dog Gus.

Julie Mastrarrigo is a Fashion Industry Professional focused on supporting young change makers with social innovation education and sponsorship to fuel system wide action. Julie earned her Master’s Degree at GCNYC in June 2019.
